All About Our Microcurrent Treatments
When we talk about anti-aging, the pursuit of the latest ‘it’ treatment is never-ending. Microcurrent facials are one of the latest systematic innovations to spark a discussion
This beauty procedure uses electricity to promote cell development in the skin. Sounds shocking but the procedure is injection-free non-invasive, and painless.
This non-invasive, safe, and painless facial helps erase fine lines and lessen the look of wrinkles while ensuring the firming of your skin to define your features. It reduces puffiness, improves muscle tone, enhances cellular activity, and tightens pores. The result of Microcurrent is young-looking skin and healthier, no matter your age.
How to prepare for Microcurrent Facial
Ensure that you take your normal meal and take your normal medications before the commencement of the procedure. There is no need to wear makeup, clean your face using a gentle wash. You may want to stop your retinol/retinoid five to six days prior to the procedure.
Procedures
The entire procedure includes cleansing, LED light therapy, exfoliation, serums, and masking. We will apply a thin film of a conductive gel on me using any nice water-based gel then make use of a microcurrent machine, which has two wands that the electrical current passes through. There is no pain or discomfort during this process, just the cool metal wands lifting sections of my face and staying for a few seconds and repeating before moving to the next step.
Microcurrent is really safe for most people, but there are a few exceptions.
People with heart-related issues are not encouraged to go through Microcurrent procedures if they have a pacemaker, are not encouraged to get a microcurrent facial because it stimulates the blood, We also don’t recommend microcurrent facials for those with severe acne, adding, “If it’s a pimple we can do it. but if it is aggravated, It is not recommended. There’s a lot of inflammation going on, so we don’t want to stimulate that.” Pregnant women in their first trimester are also cautioned against going through the procedure. If you’ve had Botox or fillers, you should wait for about two weeks for it to settle before going through a microcurrent facial treatment.
